Welcome to the Salisbury Free Public Library

The Salisbury Free Public Library was originally founded in 1901 after years of advocating for one, and set up in the home of a former schoolmaster.  Since then it has moved around the town quite a bit as different residents have kindly offered to house it, and finally found a permanent home in the old town hall in 1969.  The Library currently has over 5000 books and a range of "non-traditional items," like snowshoes, park passes, games and puzzles, seeds, and 2 wildlife cameras that can be checked out.  The building, which was built in 1869, is a fine example of greek revival architecture and cosy place to be.
